December 1st at 9:00am I’m presenting a demo of ‘Oracle Analytics – How to be a Self-Service Superstar!’ which should be some interactive fun using all the lastest features of the November 2022 release of Oracle Analytics.
December 1st at 12:00pm I’m co-presenting on Fusion Analytic Warehouse – looking at WHY Oracle Cloud ERP/HCM users need to look at how Fusion Analytics complements OTBI and then looking at our blueprints for successful implmentation and semantic extensions (to bring in data from the rest of the enterprise with an ESG example).
December 2nd at 3pm I’m taking a look at a range of Oracle Reporting Options for Cloud ERP/HCM – including APEX, FAW and OAC as well as a look at how to assess and measure your current usage of OTBI.
May 25th 2022 – TechCast Demo Days – Oracle Graph Demo
Really excited to be presenting and demoing at this great event.
I’ll be showing how I extract performance data from OTBI, enrich it using Oracle Analytics Cloud and then use Oracle Graph Studio to interrogate the data.

February 16th 2022 – Analytics and Data Techcast
Delighted to be speaking at the Analytics and Data Techcast Day event on 16th February. I’ll be taking a look at the new Spatial Studio 21.3 and then examining how the results can be used by Oracle APEX and Oracle Analytics Cloud.

November 29th 2021 – UKOUG Together ’21
I have two presentations IN PERSON! at the UKOUG Together ’21 conference at the Oval, London. The first at 1:45pm is on Storytelling in Oracle Analytics. Oracle provides some great tools for showcasing data and finding insights. The ease of use and quality of interaction makes Oracle Analytics really appealing, but if you’re new to visualisation and storytelling then how can you make the best impact for the benefit of your organisation? In this live session, we’ll take a journey from a blank canvas to building up a drillable, multi-canvas solution and noting some key psychological aspects along the way that helps the consumer to benefit from effective insights.
The second at 3:45pm is using Oracle Spatial Studio and then consuming the results in other Oracle tools, including APEX and Oracle Analytics. If you have ever thought “Which of my customers are within five miles of my store?” then you’re thinking spatially. Perhaps you’d also like to see these customers on a map and have attention drawn to the most frequent customers? Oracle’s Spatial Studio makes spatial analysis and visualisation more accessible to analysts who do not need specific spatial syntax knowledge. In this presentation we will load, geocode, analyse and visualise data to demonstrate some examples of the capability of Spatial Studio with thematic maps, time sliders, coloured symbols and other visualisations. We will then go further and show how the results of our analysis can be used by other tools including Oracle Analytics and APEX. The aim of this presentation is not just to give you an overview of some of the capability of Spatial Studio, but also the confidence to explore and get value from your data in ways you may not have previously considered.

If you Register For This Webinar then I’ll be doing a live demonstration of some key new features introduced in Oracle Analytics 6.0, 6.1 and 6.2 that help improve your visual storytelling. We’ll certainly be looking at canvas annotations and conditional formatting alongside some of the other features that have recently been added that make self-service even more powerful.

I’m thrilled to be part of Oracle’s on-going analytics summit. This is an early start for me at it’s 8am UK time, but it should be a great session as i’m going to cover the Geocoding of data using Spatial Studio so that I can perform some spatial analysis, and then to present the results using Oracle Analytics and do some augmentation to get some other insights. I’ll be taking a peek ‘behind the scenes’ too and be using a 19c Autonomous database, so hopefully you can join me.
